Circus in the Trees offers a variety of classes predominantly in aerial arts, parkour and ninja warrior. Challenging and rewarding, these classes are taught through careful guidance and attention to each student’s capabilities.
It is our belief that learning such challenging skills should be fun. We urge students to have a good sense of humour as you journey off the ground!

As a collective member of Femmes du Feu since 2006 she has been actively involved in producing, choreographing and performing, most notably in the company’s full length shows Head First (2009), The Plank (2010) and Airship (2011, 2012). Sabrina has been seen in film festivals across Canada and on the 2010 Olympic website as a solo aerialist/dancer in Elif Isikozlu’s film “Let Go”. From 2002-2005 she toured several different productions extensively in the United States and Europe as choreographer and performer with the Caravan Stage Barge. She was also co-founder, performer and choreographer with the dance company D.I.X from 1999-2001; producing two full-length shows in Toronto and touring to Portugal. In the small town of Bracebridge, ON, Sabrina began as a ballet, jazz and modern dancer and went on to graduate from The School of Toronto Dance Theatre in 1999. In 2002, she began to focus on training in the circus arts with many different coaches throughout North America and completed the International Stunt School by the United Stuntmen’s Association in Seattle in 2006. Her aerial training includes silks, single and double pick harness, bungee, trapeze, dance trapeze, hoop, pole and invented apparatuses. Sabrina learned her first rigging skills sailing as a child. She is High Angle Rescue and Fall Arrest certified with experience rigging in theatres, conference halls, tall ships, high buildings (Toronto’s City Hall), trees and steep rock faces. Sabrina also performs with fire, spinning, manipulating, and even eating it, using a vast array of props and techniques. In 2005 Sabrina began running her own aerial silks school in Toronto and proudly has many students performing as professionals. In 2010 Sabrina moved to Scotland, ON with her husband Jonah Logan to start a family. After having two kids and teaching in her living room for a year, in 2013 she was thrilled to be opening Circus In The Trees officially. Since then CITT has continued to grow and build a community.
Jonah Logan - Owner/Parkour Program Director
Jonah has an extensive background in circus, pyrotechnics, stunts, rigging, theatre design, rock and ice climbing, stand-up paddle boarding and all around dare-devilry. He is a Paddle Canada Certified Advanced Flatwater and River 2 Whitewater SUP Instructor and a wilderness trip leader.
Kodie Peekstok - Parkour Coach
Kodie has been a part of Circus in the Trees since parkour was introduced to the studio in 2015. In high school, Kodie applied his strength and speed to the sports of rugby and football. Tired of
seeing him literally climbing the walls, his mother enrolled Kodie in Jonah’s balance class. Kodie was a natural at parkour and went on to represent CITT at Canada’s first ever National Ninja
League Competition where he made it further than any other competitor and had an impressive fourth place finish against international veterans of American Ninja Warrior.
In 2015 Kodie discovered the sport of stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) and quickly made a big splash on the SUP racing scene. He was overall champion of the 2017 Ontario SUP Series and competed in Florida, North Carolina, Alberta, British Colombia and competed with the Canadian SUP Team in Denmark and Peru.
Kodie’s positive attitude and easy going nature make him warm and encouraging instructor. Kodie instructs parkour and ninja warrior classes at CIIT and is also a SUP instructor and guide with South Coast Watersports. He has become Jonah’s right hand and even joined Jonah and Tyler Backus in a 70 km SUP crossing of Lake Erie to raise funds and awareness for Norfolk
When he is not at the studio, Kodie enjoys hunting, fishing, free diving and any activity in the
outdoors. A skilled wood-worker and self-taught mechanic, Kodie assists in construction with Jason Peekstok Custom Carpentry and spends too much time working on his truck.
Emma Chwastiack - Parkour Coach
Emma has a love for all things active: from being on her school’s tennis team to parkour. With a
background in gymnastics and then acro dance, Emma joined the studio when Jonah ran his
first classes in balance. The studio quickly expanded, adding parkour and Emma found a new
love for a sport she had not realized existed. On her time off Emma pursues her passion for
photography and music. An overachiever in school, Emma enjoys the freedom that parkour can
bring and encourages everyone to try out parkour.
Sara Chwastiak - Aerial/Handstand Coach
Sara was one of the first students to study aerial silks in Sabrina’s living room and has been so
excited to watch Circus in the Trees grow into the amazing community that it is today. With a
background in gymnastics and acro dance, Sara’s disciplines now include aerial silks, trapeze,
lyra (hoop), and hand balancing. She has been honoured to perform with the CITT senior
performance team at Radical Lines, Aer Time, Norfolk Ram Rodeo, and was a second place
finisher in the 2015 Norfolk Has Talent (aerial silks duet with Megan). When she is not hanging
upside down, Sara is an honours student at Simcoe Composite School, currently in Grade 12,
with interests in singing and playing guitar. Sara constantly seeks out new experiences in circus
and has discovered a passion for teaching, which allows her to share with others her love of all
Saidee Cowan - Aerial Coach
Saidee started “hanging around” the Logan household at the age of 9 when Sabrina began
teaching silks in her home. She has grown with the studio, which has now been part of her life
for six years. Saidee loves to dance and brings her artistic free spirit to aerial performances
with the senior performance team; performing at Aer Time, Radical Lines, holiday shows,
Norfolk Ram Rodeo, and numerous recitals. Her favourite apparatus is the hoop. Saidee is a
natural with children and has brought her warm heart to teaching at the studio since 2015.
Saidee is currently in grade 11 at Waterford District High School. She is also an accomplished
performer as a singer/songwriter and has a passion for painting and other visual arts.
Tess Nunn - Aerial Coach
Formerly a competitive swimmer with the Norfolk Hammerhead Swim Team, Tess began training
in aerial sports when Circus In The Trees opened the first studio room in 2013. Tess has
performed with the senior team at Aer Time, holiday shows, Radical Lines, Norfolk Ram Rodeo,
and numerous recitals. She began teaching at CITT in 2016 and demonstrates a positive and
encouraging nature with small children. Tess loves seeing her students’ faces light up at the
year end recital when they get to show their family and friends all their hard work. Tess is
currently in grade 12 at Simcoe Composite School and has a talent for cosmetology.
Martha Atkins - Yoga
Martha found yoga around 2007 and hasn’t stopped since – it was instant love! As a mother of
two, yoga is a very important part of Martha’s life as it keeps ‘the real Martha’ alive, well and
free.’ Every time she returns to her mat, she “reacquaints herself with the vitality and space she
felt when she was a child”…a great reason!
Martha made her way to Brazil in 2012 for the Moksha Yoga Teacher Training. She teaches at Moksha Yoga in Cambridge, Hamilton, and Brantford and holds classes at Waterford Old Town Hall and Sprucedale Youth Centre. Martha continues to
be inspired by all those who love learning more than ‘knowing’ and by those who practice living
life with curiosity and fascination.
